Responsibilities ASSISTANT ENGINEER – SIU – Ocean Class Qualifications Minimum Qualifications : Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License Valid STCW with all required endorsements (including, but not limited to Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider) TWIC Valid Passport - m u st be able to travel i nternational l y with no fel on ies, DUI, or other convicti o ns which would restrict entry into o t her countries CPR/First Aid Minimum Experience : 1 year service as Engineer Familiarity with Towing vessel deck machinery Familiarity with PLC control systems Computer proficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook and Maintenance based programs. Preferred Experience: Caterpillar or Wartsila experience Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning system Training Expectation: May be assigned to other classes of vessels as necessary Probation : 90 days Compensation: As Per Contract Geographic Area: Lake Charles Homeport These sailing positions require a flexible sailing schedule provided within the agreement between Crowley Towing and SIU for the East of Panama based vessels.
