OVERVIEW
Tidewater is the largest operator of offshore support vessels (OSVs) in the world, supporting offshore energy in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Mariner roles require a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with appropriate endorsements and a TWIC; work is rotational.
We are hiring a Able Seaman (AB) in Offshore - Gulf of Mexico. In this role you will stand deck watches; steer and look out, and contribute to our team’s quality and success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Stand deck watches; steer and look out
- Handle mooring lines, cargo, and rigging
- Perform deck maintenance and painting
- Support safety drills and operations
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- AB endorsement on a valid MMC
- TWIC and required safety certs (e.g., BST)
- Deck experience aboard commercial vessels
- Able to work offshore rotations
COMPENSATION
Estimated market range $50,000 to $80,000/year (about $24 to $38/hour), depending on experience.
