Rank: 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer · Vessel: Tanker - Chemical

Join OSM Thome as 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer on our chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping the vessel’s machinery safe, efficient and ready for global operations.

Key responsibilities:
Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine and auxiliary machinery
Carry out routine checks, inspections and planned maintenance as assigned
Monitor engine room parameters and report abnormalities to senior engineers
Support cargo handling operations from an engine/utility standpoint
Follow safety procedures, permit-to-work, and environmental regulations
Keep engine room areas, tools and equipment clean and in good order

Requirements:
Valid STCW III/1 Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (or equivalent)
Experience on tankers preferred, chemical tanker experience is an advantage
Valid tanker and basic safety training certificates
Good English communication skills
Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
Team player with a strong safety and work ethic mindset
