About this role

Rank: 3rd Officer (3/O) · Vessel: Tanker - Oil/Chemical

Join OSM Thome as 3rd Officer on our oil/chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional bridge team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations, and overall vessel safety.

Key responsibilities:
Stand navigational watch as OOW in accordance with COLREGS and company procedures
Assist with passage planning, position fixing, and bridge equipment checks
Support cargo operations, tank inspections, and line-up as directed by senior officers
Carry out safety rounds, maintenance of safety and firefighting equipment
Maintain charts, publications, and navigational records up to date
Assist with drills, ISM/ISPS requirements, and general deck duties

Requirements:
Valid STCW CoC: Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW)
Tanker endorsement for Oil/Chemical
Previous experience as 3/O or Deck Officer on tankers preferred
Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker training, medical and travel documents
Good English communication skills, safety-minded and team player
