**Description**
OSM Thome is looking for a competent 3rd Engineer (3/E) for LPG/Ethylene tankers under Cyprus flag, trading worldwide, with joining in Asia. The 3/E will support safe and efficient engine room operations and cargo-related machinery, working closely with the engineering team and following company and international standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliary engines and engine room machinery
- Operate and maintain cargo plant and relevant deck machinery on LPG/Ethylene/Ammonia vessels
- Carry out planned maintenance, routine inspections and repairs as directed by senior engineers
- Monitor and record engine room parameters, fuel and lube oil consumption
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and pollution prevention procedures
- Assist in troubleshooting and emergency repairs
- Maintain engine room cleanliness and good housekeeping
- Participate in drills and safety meetings
**Requirements**
- Minimum 1 year sea service as 3rd Engineer or equivalent rank
- Valid 3rd Engineer Certificate of Competency meeting STCW requirements appropriate for the vessel type and trading area
- Experience on LPG/Ethylene/Ammonia tankers
- Valid STCW basic and advanced tanker/chemical/gas training as applicable
- Good knowledge of engine room systems, cargo plant operations and safety procedures
- Medically fit for sea service and possession of relevant valid maritime documents
