About this role

Rank: 3rd Engineer (3/E) · Vessel: Tanker - Chemical

Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will work with an experienced engine team, keeping all machinery safe, reliable, and ready for operation.

Key responsibilities:
Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, and engine room equipment
Carry out planned maintenance, repairs, and routine checks as assigned by the Chief and 2nd Engineer
Monitor engine room parameters and report any irregularities
Follow company and vessel safety procedures, including permits and risk assessments
Keep engine room logs, records, and documentation updated
Support bunkering and fuel/lube oil transfers as required

Requirements:
Valid 3rd Engineer (EOOW) license for seagoing vessels
Recent experience on chemical or product tankers preferred
Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per rank
Good English communication skills
Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
