Rank: 2nd Engineer (2/E) · Vessel: Tanker - Chemical

OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer for a chemical tanker trading worldwide. You will be a key member of the engine department, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.

Key responsibilities:
Assist the Chief Engineer in day-to-day engine room operations
Operate, monitor and maintain main engine and auxiliary machinery
Plan and carry out routine maintenance and repairs
Ensure safe and efficient operation of cargo handling and pumping systems
Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
Follow company, flag state and international safety and environmental rules

Requirements:
Valid 2nd Engineer CoC (unlimited) meeting STCW requirements
Recent experience as 2/E on chemical tankers
Good knowledge of engine room systems and tanker operations
Valid tanker and STCW safety certificates
Good English communication skills
Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
